The County of San Diego Office of Emergency Services (OES) help organize the actions of the police, fire, and other agencies. Together, they help San Diego prevent, prepare for, and recover from emergencies and disasters.
The San Diego County Sheriff's Department is the chief law enforcement agency in San Diego County. The department is comprised of approximately 4,000 employees, both sworn officers and professional support staff.

Volunteer San Diego, a 501(c)3 nonprofit organization, directs capacity-building programs and services that engage volunteers in working hand-in-hand with nonprofit agencies to develop strong and vibrant communities.
The Community Recovery Team (CRT), a California non-profit, charitable corporation under IRS section 501(c)3, and is an affiliate of the San Diego chapter of Volunteer Organizations Active in Disaster (VOAD).
